INTRODUCTION

The Cardiac Markers Combo Rapid Test Device (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) is a rapid visual immunoassay for the qualitative presumptive detection of human Myoglobin, CKMB and cardiac Troponin I in whole blood, serum or plasma. This kit is intended for use as an aid in the diagnosis of myocardial infarction (MI).

TEST PROCEDURE

Allow the test device, Urine specimen and/or controls to equilibrate to room temperature (15-30°c) prior to testing.
(1) Remove the test device form the sealed pouch and use it as soon as possible.
(2) With arrows pointing toward the urine specimen, immerse the strip test vertically in the urine specimen, for at least 5 seconds. Do not pass the maximum line (max) onthe strip test when immersing the strip.
(3) Lay the strip flatly on a non-absorbent clean surface. Start the timmer and wait for the red line(s) to appear. Read result within 5 minutes but no longer than 15 minutes.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

Negative: Only one colored band appears on the control (C) region. No apparent band on the test (T) region. 
Positive: in addition to a pink colored control (C) band, a distinct pink colored band will also appear in the test (T) region. Invalid: A total absence of color in both regions is an indication of procedure error and/or the test reagent has deteriorated.
